Hip-hop fiesta @ Golden Peacock

A GALAXY of hip-hop artistes led by guru Tehn Diamond are lined up to perform at the latter’s maiden live performance scheduled for Golden Peacock Hotel tonight (Friday). Flexo, DJ Take Fizzo, DK Chucknosis, Sharky, Kritic Igwee, mk 47, Teq Niq, Xtra Maton, Reflexion and Jackson De Zimboy are some of the artistes billed to face off in a potentially intriguing hip-hop fiesta.

The local artistes will warm the stage before the 2012 National Arts Merit award winner Tehn Diamond takes over.
Tehn Diamond, real name Tendai Nguni, is one of the finest Zimbabwean hip-hop rappers, singer and songwriter whose lyrical ingenuity is next to none.

His flourishing career that started in 2008 with hits such as Student of the Game — Higher Learning, and Student of the Game — Boys will be Boys in 2010.
He explored several countries and staged several shows in Singapore before he decided to pursue music locally. The song Happy is one of his finest tunes and it was nominated for best song of the year at last year’s Zim Hip-Hop Awards.

Some of the artistes scheduled to perform at the event that starts at 8pm, Kritic Igwee and Flexo, promised fireworks.
“Performing alongside Tehn Diamond is such an honour. We are looking forward to having a wonderful night,” said David Mutanda, popularly known as Flexo.
