The cheerful musician said he is going to perform some of his popular songs “Winner”, “Shona Phansi” and his latest release “Samasimba” which is part of the promo-album.
“My songs have been doing very well and I thank God for that. Shona Phansi has been nominated in Kadoma/Chegutu music awards for best video of the year category. ‘Winner’ has become a sing-along, something that I am really proud of. I have also been receiving a lot of positive feedback on my latest release ‘Samamsimba’ so I am excited to perform them,” he said.
“Samasimba” features South African artist Zipho K and its video has been gaining views.
“Samasimba is a gospel song that I did to encourage people to focus on divine blessings rather than wealth. I realized that most people when faced with hardships or challenges shift their focus from doing good and tend to put their faith and trust in the stars,” he said
Earlier this year, Maleta released a singles collection which features some of the Urban Grooves pioneers like Nox and Memory Zaranyika.
Maleta said he has managed to create a diverse fan base by collaborating with international artists.
“The music journey is quite challenging and I have managed to overcome some of these challenges by expanding my fan base. I have obtained a diverse fan base from collaborations I did with great artist from Nigeria, Burundi, Congo, Tanzania and South Africa among many others. My upcoming album is also packed with exciting collaborations,” said Maleta.
