Renowned gospel musician Shingisai Suluma landed in Harare yesterday morning for a gospel show to be held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) this Satruday alongside Zimpraise choir and other choirs from different denominations.
Titled ‘One Voice Concert 3’, the concert will be running under the theme ‘United for Christ’, as part of an ongoing series of gospel concerts meant to bring believers from different denominations to worship and fellowship together.
Speaking to The Herald about the concert, Pastor Learnmore Tavengwa of Spirit Praise Choir, who is the organiser of the event, said all is ready for the concert.
“It’s an interdenominational concert, which features choirs from different denominations. In this edition, fewer choirs have confirmed their availability due to the holidays, that is why we felt we could cover that gap by bringing in Shingisai Suluma”, said Tavengwa.
One of the country’s finest musicians, Suluma, who flew in from Canada where she is currently based, could not speak much, saying she needed a bit of rest, having arrived in the country only a few hours earlier, specifically for the concert.
The concert will start promptly at 2pm and will run until 8pm.
Tickets are available at Focal Point outlets in Westgate, Avondale, Newlands and Borrowdale.
Children are charged $3, while adults will pay $5, with VIP tickets going for $10 and VVIP going for $30.
However, VVIP ticket holders will also have a dinner at Cresta Hotel tomorrow, Friday the 21st of December at 6pm, the night before the event, thus giving them the opportunity to fellowship with their favourite musician and several Gospel Choirs.
