Hoffenheim get a taste of Knowledge

And in their ranks on Saturday, for the first time since his big money move, was Warriors’ hotshot Knowledge Musona.
The Zimbabwe international came in as a second half substitute and set his shiny new green Puma boots on the Bundesliga turf for the first time as his side beat former champions VfL Wolfsburg 3-1 at home at the Rhein Neckar Arena.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star, who was injured before kicking a ball for his new club, had to watch from the sidelines as his club played the first five matches of the new term.
The team has managed 12 points, three behind leaders Bayern Munich who beat Schalke 2-0.
Musona even missed the Warriors’s Africa Cup of Nations tie against Liberia.

But the eagerly awaited debut finally came in the 69th minute when Musona replaced midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson when his team was already leading 2-1 with goals from former Liverpool striker Ryan Babbel and Roberto Firmino in the 19th and 23rd minutes.

Firmino completed his brace in the 83rd minute.
And the editors of the club magazine achtzehn99, Daniel Dilliman, said the Warriors striker did a really good job with one great attempt at goal from about 30 metres and a beautiful pass to Firmino, who should have scored easily, but missed.

Hoffenheim coach Holger Stanislawski had said Musona has fully recovered and is ready to play.
“By now he is totally integrated into the team. Naturally he needs to learn the tactical procedures.

“But I am sure that we are going to enjoy him and his big abilities in Hoffenheim in the near future,” said Stanislawski.
The return of the Warriors chief striker to action will be sweet news to gaffer Norman Mapeza who needs all of his players at their best in next month’s Nations Cup qualifier match against Cape Verde.
