Holiday Inn Express introduces Wi-Fi

Fidelity (Wi-Fi) that seeks to improve connectivity efficiency and convenience to its clients.
The new service was introduced at the hotel on Sunday morning. Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology used across the globe and allows computers and cellphones with the requisite accessories to connect to the Internet through a wireless router.
The hotel’s front office manager, Mr Charlton Chimbira, said the facility covered the whole property area and a few places in its periphery.
He said the service was available to all their conference delegates, local residents and professionals around the town and overnight guests.
Overnight guests would access the service free of charge as part of the accommodation package.
“We have introduced a new product for our guests and other clients around the town. We have enabled access to the Internet to everyone who will be staying with us as we strategically position ourselves in the world of communication technology.
“Prior to that we have been relying on broadband for Internet connections at the communication centre.
“We also have other equipment such as photocopiers, faxes, telephones and scanners to facilitate communication.
“The product is also being sold to local residents, conference delegates, professionals and other people with computers and cellphones with the requisite settings,” he said.
The new package he said would reinforce the hotel’s strategic position in the border, which is one of the busiest ports of entry in sub-Saharan Africa.
“In essence with this product we are creating a home away from home for our clients.
“In some cases we have guests who stay here for over a week and they would need to connect with their relatives at home and those on the social networks.
“We are the first hotel in town to have such facilities and one of the busiest in this province. We are really looking forward to the success of this product and are working towards increasing the coverage area,” he said.
