NO power in the world can match the power of the Spirit of God. In my years of ministry and preaching the Word of God I have discovered that when He, the Holy Ghost shows up situations change. I have known Him to be a situation changer and difference maker. However, the key in benefitting from the Holy Ghost lies in your ability to tap into Him, connecting with Him, allowing Him to work with you.
You could be reading this article while on a hospital bed, alone in a prison cell, lonely in your home where your spouse left you since last year, or in whatever difficult situation you are going through; all you need is to lift up your faith and tell yourself because of the Holy Spirit of God, my life is about to change. O hallelujah!
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day,” Genesis 1:1-5.
Here in the book of Genesis we see a chaotic situation with the earth formless, void and full of darkness.
God is a good God and does not create bad things.
It is the enemy who had caused all this havoc and chaos. It is the same enemy that brings chaos and discomfort in your relationships, family, finances and at your workplace.
We thank God for the Spirit of God hallelujah! The Situation-changer!
You may think you are alone in the darkness all around you. But somewhere, quietly the Spirit of God is hovering over your life, over your situation, over your terrible situation and soon there will be a total turn around.
I have a good word for you today, don’t despair, don’t give up, don’t surrender; keep fighting.
All you need to do is to tell Him Holy Ghost sit on me, brood on my life, hover on my situation!
You see when a hen is sitting on the eggs; it’s no more laying eggs.
When it has just laid you can take the eggs, fry them and eat them! But when the hen is sitting or brooding on the eggs you can’t fry it anymore! O hallelujah.
Something powerful will be happening inside it.
It’s all about atmosphere, the right atmosphere! A powerful atmosphere will be created that turns the egg into a chick.
Don’t cry about your situation as long as the Holy Ghost is sitting on you your chick will be hatching out soon!
We also hear Jesus in Luke 4:18 saying the Spirit of the Lord us upon me!
Remember the Holy Ghost was seen descending on Jesus and sat upon him?
The power of the Holy Ghost should come upon you in this year! O I like it I like it I like it.
I like the Holy Ghost! And I like Him to sit upon me. When he fills you, when he comes upon you, you feel it; you know it!
You even get drunk of the Holy Ghost as encouraged by Paul in Ephesians 5:8 “be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit.”
O how I like this. Do you know Christians drink also?
They drink and get drunk of the Holy Spirit. When a man is drunk, s/he can’t remain standing, s/he can’t walk straight, s/he can’t even talk well and stammers a bit.
At the same time when a man gets drunk usually all fear goes, any song can be sung, anything is possible. Now it is the same with the Spirit of God when He fills you and you get drunk — fear goes, doubt, stress, worry and depression can’t stand.
At times believers get so low and stressed because they are no longer full and drunk of the Spirit and are now calculating things and life with their minds and natural reasoning leaving the grace factor.
Don’t be stressed child of God or lean on your won understanding, Proverbs 3:5-6.
It’s not just the apostles, pastors or evangelists, who can be filled by the Spirit, No, even you, every believer!
Listen, these things have no age so don’t say ah the Holy Spirit is for the young people or new Christians!
No! We all should run and desire the Holy Ghost to sit on us always.
My prayer every time is O my God if only I can get a bit more, more of these things of God, more of the Holy Ghost!
Make a decision today and declare with your own mouth, for 2016, the year of a double portion “Holy Ghost Sit On Me!”
