HOLY STARS IN HOT SOUP: Yadah boss faces assault rap

B-Metro Reporter

PANDEMONIUM is rocking the Premier Soccer League after Yadah FC and their flamboyant official, Spencer Muvadi, were dragged before the PSL Disciplinary Committee for allegedly beating up their own goalkeeper Godknows Gurure.

The ugly drama played out in the changing rooms at Heart Stadium soon after Yadah’s clash with Ngezi Platinum Stars on 22 August. Instead of post-match prayers, fists are said to have flown, leaving shocked players and officials scrambling to restore order.

PSL bosses confirmed the club is in the dock for violent conduct and assault on their shot-stopper. Insiders say Muvadi stormed into the dressing rooms breathing fire before allegedly laying hands on Gurure. His rap sheet includes invasion of the changing area, assault and behaviour that could drag the game’s reputation into the mud.

“This is a serious matter. The conduct of Yadah FC and its official is being scrutinised,” said a PSL insider.

The disciplinary showdown is set for Thursday 11 September at PSL headquarters, where Muvadi and the Miracle Boys will have to explain why a football sanctuary turned into a boxing ring.

Fans are already buzzing on social media, with some joking that the clash at Heart Stadium turned into a “fight of faith.” But for the PSL, the matter is no laughing affair.

Yadah, popularly known as the Miracle Boys, now face the real possibility of fines or even heavier sanctions if found guilty.

All eyes are on the 5:30PM hearing, where the gospel preaching club must answer for sins that may cost them dearly in the league race.
