HIP hop sensation, Holy Ten, has postponed his album release at the last-minute but insists it’s all meant to ensure that his latest product, which he is calling his best, will live up to the expected standards.
He says it will be the best music he has released in his career.
He was initially set to unveil the album yesterday but the date has been moved to October 21.
Holy Ten told H-Metro that he had overlooked a few things which he will be fixing in the next two weeks.
He has named the album ‘Proud Father’.
“So, I was supposed to drop the album today (yesterday), but then I realised that I had overlooked a lot of things around the drop.
“I know the music is good but in the run up to the release date I forgot to market the product.
“I ignored a lot of things that are important like dropping the track list and going for interviews,” said Holy Ten.
The rapper said he was not chickening out given that Saintfloew is also releasing a new album on Saturday.
“I forgot about the art part of my music, there are actually a few people that knew about the drop and I want to avoid a situation where the music is on fire but people don’t know about it.
“So, I have delayed the release for two weeks, so that I can properly market my album.”
He said he is his own biggest critic and will do everything by the book.
“I have faith in the project and would like to reach out to the media and fans and avoid a situation where good music ends up being poorly marketed while bad music is greatly advertised.
“This leads to me getting compared to artists that are not in my league.”
He said he was not dropping a street album and will wait to do the right thing before fans hear the new music.
Holy Ten has already revealed that Michael Magz is on the album and has kept his fans guessing who else is featured on the project.
“Honestly speaking, I have never done music as good as the one on this new project. Trust me, the project is solid,” he said.
