BRUNETTE Makanyiso is expected to return home today after flying the Zimbabwean flag high on the global stage, securing a stunning Top 12 finish at the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival in Vietnam.

The 26-year-old pharmacist is expected to touch down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport at 2:30pm, where she is set to receive a warm welcome after weeks of representing Zimbabwe at one of the world’s biggest beauty pageants.

Brunette returns home with her head held high after breaking into the Top 12 from a field of 111 contestants drawn from across the globe.

Her success was driven largely by her Beauty With A Purpose, the humanitarian pillar of the Miss World competition. Her project, Tomorrow Starts Today, emerged as one of the standout initiatives in the competition and ultimately secured her place in the coveted Top 12.

Although she did not advance to the final six, her Top 12 finish marks a significant achievement for Zimbabwe and places her among the country’s most successful recent representatives on the Miss World stage.
