Homemade vanilla cake

HERE is a recipe for a very moist and dense homemade vanilla cake.

Ingredients

One cup white sugar;

Half cup butter;

Two eggs;

One teaspoon vanilla extract;

One teaspoon almond extract;

One-and-a-half  cups all-purpose flour;

Three tablespoons corn starch;

One-and-three quarter teaspoons baking powder;

Half teaspoon salt;

Three-quarter cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9×9-inch pan.
  2. Beat sugar and butter together in a medium bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time; stir in vanilla extract and almond extract.
  3. Combine flour, corn starch, baking powder and salt in another bowl. Add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in milk until batter is smooth.

Pour or spoon batter into the prepared pan.

  1. Bake in the preheated oven until it springs back to the touch, 30 to 40 minutes.
