AFRO fusion musician, David Hondoyedzomba, marks his return on the music scene tomorrow when he launches his new album titled Ma Recovery at Garwe Restaurant.
The 10 track-album carries songs like Bhachura, Chembere Dzemuno, Do Me, Dinza Rapera, Haauite, Hupenyu, among others.
Fellow musicians Suluman Chimbetu, Kireni Zulu and Rute Mbangwa are expected to make an appearance at the launch.
Hondoyedzomba last released new music in 2018.
“I was recruited by the Zimbabwe Defence Forces under a unique contract as a music specialist working with the dance band.
“I haven’t been able to record music because I was focusing on that.
“The album Ma Recovery tells my maturity story in music.
“I felt like I was in college all these years of my career and now I have mastered the game after learning from my mistakes.”
He told H-Metro that he feels honoured as he makes a return to what he loves most.
“It feels like coming home from hunting game but with a catch on my shoulder and my family with smiles on their faces celebrating.”
The album is Hondoyedzomba’s fourth after Uncle Sam in 2012, Bhora Mberi (2015) and HD the Album in 2018.
