VETERAN forward, HONEY Chimutimunzeve, is the only Simba Bhora outcast who found a Castle Lager Premiership home.
He has resurfaced at Cranborne Bullets.
He was in the starting XI in their 0-1 loss against Black Rhinos at the National Sports Stadium on Monday.
Chimutimunzeve played an important role in Simba Bhora’s campaign for a place in the top-flight league.
He netted five times in an attack dominated by the club top scorer, Tinashe Balakasi, who banged 29 goals.
The 36-year-old was not spared in the club’s overhaul which claimed 90 percent of the players who won the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League title.
Most of the players, who fell victim to the overhaul, have since joined Division One teams and others are still club hunting.
Chimutimunzeve hailed Cranborne Bullets coach, Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera for coming to his rescue.
“It always feels good to be back in the PSL and I’m grateful to coach Saruchera for believing in my abilities,” said Chimutimunzeve.
“I can only repay his trust through scoring as many goals as possible.
“We have a strong team, which can compete against any team in the league, and it’s just a matter of us as players to have a collective approach towards every game.”
He added.
“Our target will always be to maintain our Premiership status and we are going to try our best to, maybe, end the season in the top 10.
“As an individual, I’m aiming for double figures, because it’s very possible to reach that mark when you are playing for a decent club like Cranborne.
“There is no pressure of winning the silverware and that becomes an advantage to express yourself without pressure.”
