A HOPLEY Farm woman clashed with her two neighbours after digging a well on their residential stands.

Winny Jack approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a peace order against Precious Mashamba, and her sister Abigail, who were the first and second respondents.

This matter was heard before magistrate Sharon Mashavire with Winny accusing Precious and Abigail of verbal abuse.

“I am seeking a peace order against the duo as they are abusing me verbally and emotionally.

“I want them to be barred from doing their laundry at my house and also using the water in my well.

“After their laundry, they pour dirty water in my yard, which is very unhealthy,” said Winny.

She added:

“When I approached them over the issue, that is when they started to insult me.

“They also have a tendency of beating and shouting at my child because of our misunderstandings.”

The first respondent, Precious, did not oppose the granting of the application.

However, the second respondent, Abigail differed with her sister.

“We never insulted her but the issue here is that she dug her well in our yard because we are neighbours.

“She is the one who comes to our yard and she also deprives us of the water which is in our yard,” she said.

Magistrate Mashavire granted the peace order in Winny’s favour.
