AMERICAN rapper Kanye West did it with the album College Dropout whose single Jesus Walks announced his arrival having survived a horror crash, back home in Zimbabwe gospel musician, Wonesai Chimwanambo has a similar story.
Chimwanambo survived a horror crash in 2012, sustaining a broken backbone. She resorted to prayer and faith.
The accident saw her move with the aid of a wheelchair for a year.
In 2013 she began using crutches and doctors told her she could walk again after an operation.
Somewhere along the way she claims a deliverance from Prophet Magayaa��s Prophetic Healing and Deliverance ministries (PHD) in 2013 helped her walk again.
a�?Ia��m now able to walk on my own and managed to fulfill my music passion which is recording an album,a�? she said.
The track titled Kunamata, from the debut offering Mbiri Kuna Jesu is testimony that God does wonders.
a�?I was thanking God for the wonderful things he has done for me. But in this particular track Kunamata I speak in detail about my accident, surviving and overcoming one of the most challenging times,a�? she said.
Undeterred she added that she approaches every day as a challenge and hopes to record more albums.
