A receptionist with a local hotel has been fined US$200 for kissing a student without her consent.
Godknows Sakatiro who is employed by a Norton Hotel as a receptionist was arraigned before the Norton Magistrates’ Court charged with the crime of “performing an indecent act with a young person”.
He pleaded guilty to the charge before he was ordered to pay the fine and additionally, he was given a suspended 4-month sentence.
It was proved that on May 7, the complainant, who is a 17-year-old secondary school pupil was attending a workshop at the hotel where Godknows works.
He went to the complainant’s room where he told her that she was beautiful before he kissed her.
The conduct didn’t go down well with the complainant who report the matter to the police.
