Man jailed for life for killing wife

A 40-year-old man has been jailed for life in prison for killing his wife.
The Mutare man, Innocent Mujeni appeared before the Mutare High Court facing a murder charge.

He was convicted of murder and was sentenced to life imprisonment on June 18.

On September 3, 2023, in Hobhouse 3, Mutare, Innocent struck his wife, Vimbai Muchingamwa thrice with an axe.

He also struck her once on the shoulder and twice on the right side of her head following an altercation.

She died on the spot as a result of the assault.
