How a spider ruined my day

Hello there folks, hope you are all well this week. I had an adventurous week to say the least, with teens back to school and others leaving school, the house was not quite normal this week. On top of all that after a journey, I think I brought home a spider in one of my clothes which attacked me lol!

So this week, after spending 1 ½ days wondering what is going to happen to me, I can safely safe, I am okay, and well enough to tell you how to prevent this inconveniences from happening to you. It all began the day after I took a trip to the outskirts of Manicaland, trying to sort out schooling in a mission school. I have a bad habit of leaving windows and doors open in the car unfortunately and I can only presume, a spider or two crawled into one of the backs and very happily fell asleep.

Or alternatively, the spider could have always been in my outfit and got woken up when I put the outfit on. Well whichever the issue, I put all the unworn dresses from the journey back into the wardrobe to save myself from washing clothes unnecessarily. The next day I decided to put one on without checking the dress (I never do check my clothes except for stains or dirt). Within seconds of putting the dress on I felt a shooting pain in my back on the one side. I scratched and shifted the dress a bit irritated that it may be a pin or something (I have pins on many of my clothes you never know when they may be needed kikiki). Another few seconds later there was shooting pain all over my back and then an itch, a horrible itch. In a space of less than 5 minutes, I had pain and itching in my back and sides, moving towards my tummy and so forth lol.

Of cause I removed the dress, shaking with fear, and what do I see a little spider hanging off the dress with two legs left nhai wena? I didn’t even have time to kill it, I found myself out of the dress in my bathroom rubbing calamine lotion and iron oxide and everything else I could find – nothing worked. I then called a Doctor I knew, who told me to rush to the emergency ward. Now people if you know me, I do not walk around with money in my bag or on me, unless it is a dollar here and there (I know the value of a dollar kikiki. On this particular day though I had US$20 on me to buy a few groceries during my lunch break. So off I went driving recklessly to one hospital only to be told it will be US$ 40 for consultation and US$ 60 for injections. Okay that was US$ 80 more than I had. They very promptly told me where I could try that was cheaper (never mind that I could die on my way to the cheaper place, but anyway.) I jumped in my car tears in my eyes drove out the in gate instead of the exit gate, sped to the next place, which was of cause closed for renovations kikiki!
