HAPPY VALENTINE EVERYONE!!!!

HIE there, it is Valentine’s people, whether you like it or not kikiki. I hope as many of you are going to make an effort to celebrate your loved ones this weekend folks. I know we should be showing love every day, but truthfully how many of us do that with our busy lives. So come on people, join in the fun and let us show love to our family members and partners. I am certainly going to have fun, let me tell you now. I am determined to dress up and look cute. . .I promise you Lol!

So today’s topic, you guessed it. . .what best to wear on Valentine’s Day!

Wearing Valentine’s colours of red and white is nice, but as the years have gone by, we have seen people venture outside this colour code and wear things like black, gold and silver. There is really no strict rule though, although you might find yourself looking the odd one out if you choose to wear a different colour at a Valentine’s event. . .but who cares go for it! So here we go. . .

You have a date, your reservations are set, but there is one last piece of the Valentine’s Day puzzle – figuring out what to wear. Whether you are going out with your girlfriends or having a cozy night in with someone special, dressing the part can make all the difference.

It is important for women going out on a Valentine’s date or even staying in for a Valentine’s date to feel flirty, fun and sexy no matter where the night takes you. And, yes – there is definitely a little lingerie involved. Now let me try and inspire you for your date. . .

So let us start with the lingerie. I do not care whether you are going to end up taking someone home that night or going home alone, you need to wear sexy lingerie so that you feel sexy and beautiful underneath your clothing. Trust me a woman who feels sexy will look sexy, it is true.

You do not have to wear red unless the invitation asks for it. Red is safer, but if you want to be different and stand out, go ahead and wear all white, yes, you heard me – all white. White is part of the Valentine’s colours so go for it. Wear a little lacy white dress which will take everyone’s breathe away. If you want to look sleek and untouchable, wear a white trouser suit with a waist length jacket and high heel shoes. Keep your hair up and wear red lipstick for the shock effect.

Wearing shimmery ensembles always work well as long as the event is in the evening. So you could wear a plain bottom with a shimmery top. Add bold jewellery to accent the shimmer on the top. When wearing shimmer on the top you need to keep your hair down so that it that it tones the shimmer just a bit, but also adds a little sexiest to the outfit.

Mini dresses are perfect for this occasion and no one can complain. Valentine’s Day is all about love, looking and feeling sexy. But may I add here that sexy does not need to look slutty. Keep the respect! So go ahead and wear that short dress or that short frilly skirt, it is all good, but make sure you are wearing heels and a decent top. It is not okay for your thighs to be showing and also the boobs to be sticking out, choose one portion and cover the other one.

I am going to surprise you by saying that another interesting outfit to wear would be a “Jumpsuit”. I recently saw a couple of stylish jumpsuits while I was window shopping the other day. Of course, you need to have a certain body type to be able to wear a jumpsuit, but if you can – go for it. Red or white or even black is great. Top it up with gold or silver jewellery that is all you will need.

My favourite ensemble though is when a woman wears a feminine dress. Regardless of the material, there is something to be said about a woman who respects the fact that women should look classy and pretty. All this sexy look is a bit much these days.

So ladies I really would encourage you to try and respect yourselves this Valentine’s weekend and allow the men to show respect to you too. It is not only in your attitude, but most importantly in the way you dress for your dates.
