THE FOUR WHO LEFT MARRIOTT’S DEMBARE

HOW does Bernard Marriott feel when he sees that the top FOUR clubs in the domestic Premiership race are under the guidance of men who used to be part of the Dynamos fold?

They are Lloyd Mutasa (MWOS), Joel Luphahla (Simba Bhora), Tonderai Ndiraya (Scottland) and Herbert Maruwa (TelOne).

Their teams are sitting in first, second, third and fourth place on the Premiership table.

Two of these clubs – MWOS and Scottland – are playing in the local top-flight league for the first time in their history.

Tonderai Ndiraya

Marriot’s DeMbare are playing in the top-flight league for the top-flight league for the 62nd year.

Of course, some Dynamos loyalists will argue that this is not correct.

They will say that this team, under Marriott, is different from their real Glamour Boys and is only playing in the top-flight league for the 11th year.

Marriot became Dynamos board chairman in 2014. Whatever the case, it still doesn’t change the questions:

· How does he feel when he sees that three of those four coaches are former sons of the Glamour Boys?

· How does he feel when he realises that all of them fled Marriott’s Madness at Dynamos and moved elsewhere to environments which they believed would offer them the best chances to succeed?

· How does he feel when he realises that, away from the Marriott Madness, they have all flourished and, right now, it appears one of them will win the championship?

· How does he feel when he realises that Ndiraya had to leave DeMbare for him to taste the glory that comes with winning the championship?

· How does he feel when he realises that Luphahla, a coach he believed could only be good enough to be assistant to Lloyd “MaBlanyo” Chigowe, appears to be creating a beast at Simba Bhora and his team is within shouting distance of leaders MWOS?

· How does he feel when he realises that Mutasa, the coach he hired and fired not so long ago, has guided MWOS to the top of the table and his team are unbeaten in their first 15 league games this season?

· How does he explain his decision to hire Saul Chaminuka to save this sinking ship when the same coach failed to save Black Rhinos from being relegated just two years ago?

Herbert Maruwa

Marriott’s Dynamos have won just ONCE this season and they are the only club, in the entire domestic Premiership, who have only one after playing all their 15 games.

Kwekwe United have one win, too, all season but they can argue that they played 14 games as one of their games wasn’t played and was decided in the boardroom.

Marriott’s DeMbare have scored only FIVE goals, which is the worst attack in the top-flight league as Kwekwe have six goals to their credit.

Joel Luphahla

Dynamos’ five goals are the same number of goals which Ndiraya’s Scottland have conceded all season.

The Glamour Boys have 11 points, just one ahead of second-from-the-bottom Triangle, and 20 points behind Mutasa’s MWOS.

What this means is that if Dynamos win their next SEVEN games, and MWOS don’t fulfil their next SEVEN games and lose them via the boardroom, the Glamour Boys will only be one point better than Mutasa’s men.

  1. The first real goal from open play for Dynamos this season, well somewhat, if you consider that it was a corner kick. Mamwe ese maown goal, migadzikirwa ne the other one scored by the same player against Simba Bhora rinonetsa kutsanangura kuti rakapinda seyi.
