Two plastic buckets

Ingredients for 1kg bar
Tallow (animal fat) – 480grams
Soap stock (vegetable oil, used oil, sludge) – 320grams
Caustic soda – 90grams
Soda ash – 50grams
Dolomite – 100grams
Water – 400mls
Liquid dye (blue or green) – 10grams
Perfume – 5mls
Method
Put caustic soda in one of the buckets and pour water on top. Mix until it is dissolved.
Heat tallow until it is melted. Put it in the other plastic bucket.
Pour soap stock in the bucket with tallow. Mix the two oils until they are well blended.
Put soda ash and dolomite in the bucket with the tallow and soap stock. Mix until you achieve a fine texture.
Pour caustic soda solution from the first bucket into the main bucket
Do not mix.
Put lemon perfume and dye. Mix thoroughly until you have a smooth paste.
Put in a soap mould. Shake the mould as you pour in the smooth paste.
Leave the mould on an airy shed where there is no direct sunlight.
After an hour or so, smoothen up the soap with a sharp object and remove it from mould.
