Minister of Truth with Cde Jason Zhuwao
To understand the Zimbabwe People First party, a critical analysis will prove that it is only a political front created to try and change the country’s socio-economic and political trajectory to better suit Western interests.
There are glaring key factors that strip away the cosmetological “ideology” that Dr Joice Mujuru parotted last week on Tuesday.
The first point to note is the name of the party.
There is a brazen attempt to try an incorporate all the people of Zimbabwe, and yet we all know that the creation of this party has nothing to do with the love of the people of this country. It should rather be named Zimbabwe Bitterness First.
The genesis of Zimbabwe People First as a party can be found in the sense of bitterness over being ejected from Zanu-PF and this is a frail attempt at revenge.
The party itself is an expression of anger hidden behind the love of the people. The impotent rage that courses through the veins of the famished party will cause its early demise. It’s public knowledge that the founding members of the party were booted out of Zanu-PF due to their unscrupulous attempts to oust the President of the Republic.
This means People First is an offspring of anger and bitterness. Now they think they can use the people of Zimbabwe to ease their own bitterness.
My fellow nationals, we can’t be deceived so lamely.
Secondly, there is no real ideology underpinning the existence of Zimbabwe People First. Instead of presenting a well-furnished ideological position to the nation, Dr Mujuru expressed signs of bitterness and anger relating to being kicked out of Zanu-PF.
Criticising the very policies they campaigned for and endorsed for more than 30 years can only be a sign of a mind gone to rot.
These are the same people who screamed themselves hoarse in defence of land reforms and indigenisation and now they would have us believe they didn’t subscribe to these policies.
How can they even claim they didn’t benefit from the policies in question?
We should ask ourselves: why now? Why didn’t they fight for what they are saying now when they were still part of the ruling party and Government?
If these policies are really bad, why did they enforce them?
This tells us that Zimbabwe People First is merely a platform to express bitterness and animosity.
Dr Mujuru would have us believe that she resigned from Government and quit Zanu-PF when all evidence points to her being fired.
After all, why did she not write a resignation letter? Surely a whole Vice-President doesn’t just wake up one day and say “I’m no longer going to work ever again” and then simply stay in bed.
Fortunately, the Ministry of Truth exists to expose such lousy lies.
If Dr Mujuru and her cohorts had a real development agenda, why didn’t they pursue this while still holding office?
They had the power to influence policies. We are talking of a VP, a secretary for administration and a party spokesperson. They had voices. They had clout. But they did nothing except plot against President Mugabe.
They also used their voices and clout to try and stop the anti-corruption drive that exposed obscene salaries being paid to public servants.
Now they say they want to fight corruption.
Zimbabweans are not blind and they will not be used to advance Mujuru’s narrow self-serving mission of revenge.
