DIMINUTIVE forward Benson Maglasi scored his third goal in two matches as Harare City drew 1-1 against Buffaloes in a Castle Lager Premiership tie at Rufaro yesterday.
Last week Maglasi rose from the bench to fire home a brace that sank Dongo Sawmill at the same venue.
Yesterday Harare City trailed Buffaloes for much of the second half until Maglasi grabbed a late equaliser.
City threatened from the start as they controlled possession with James Jam and William Manondo trying from long range in the 14th and 21st minutes.
It was only after the half hour mark that Buffaloes started to show life, in the final third, forcing some saves from Tafadzwa Dube,
Farai Banda’s ferocious shot was pushed for a corner in the 38th minute before Clive Kawinga’s free header, a minute before the breather, brought the best out of Dube.
Prosper Matizanadzo hit the crossbar in the 47th minute and in the 68th minute, Jacob Muzokomba, fired them into the lead.
“We are taking each game as it comes and we managed to rescue a point which I believe is better than to lose,” said Harare City coach, Taurai Mangwiro.
