THE Harare Saturday Social League (HSSL) is set to start in the first week of next month.
The league has been on a lengthy off-season, which started in November last year.
Ten teams have already paid their affiliation fees and the league expects four more to come through soon.
HSSL chairman, Quinton Chibisa, said:
“We are kicking off in the first week of March.
“Our clubs are ready and raring to go. We are expecting stiff competition this season.
“We have a number of clubs which joined the league for the first time and some that left.
“A lot of factors are at play on why some leave, but it’s mainly due to logistical issues.
“I can confirm now that we already have 10 teams that have paid their affiliation fees. Our affiliation fee is US$30.”
He said they were open to ideas on how to improve operations of the league.
