A MARRIED man has been hauled to court for allegedly abusing his wife.
Faith Chadzama was granted a protection order by the Harare Civil Court against her husband, Simbarashe Chadzama.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi also told Simbarashe not to abuse, harass or harm his wife.
Faith told the court that Simbarashe was in the habit of insulting and assaulting her.
“This man has been abusing me for a while now.
“He insults me in front of our children and neighbours, calling me a prostitute.
“He is accusing me of waking up early to go and prostitute myself, yet I will be going to work.
“He said I am being affected by antiretroviral tablets. Kundiudza kuti njere dzangu dzaku tacha inini,” said Faith.
In response, Simbarashe did not dispute faith’s testimony.
“I am not opposed to the application, but my wife haachandipawo nguva.
“She told me she no longer loves me, akutorara kwake ega,” said Simbarashe.
