A man broke his estranged wifea��s jaw in a drunken attack after finding her camped at a bar gate around 1am resulting in a misunderstanding in which he accused her of being a prostitute.
Nothando Maria Ndlovu (21, ABOVE) decided to camp at Umqombothi Sports Bar gate after being tipped that her husband Sydney Ncube had a lot of money to spend.
Ndlovua��s plan was to wait and get money for soap from Ncube, but it backfired when upon noticing her on his way out Ncube accused her of being a thigh vendor.
Ncube was in the company of his friend Nyelelani, who also joined in attacking Ndlovu.
The helpless Ndlovu proceeded home and on the following day realised she had sustained serious injuries and reported the matter to the police resulting in Ncubea��s arrest. Ncube appeared before magistrate Tancy Dube facing physical abuse charges and was convicted on his own plea.
The court heard that Ndlovu and Ncube have a two months old baby which Ncube is not taking care of after kicking Ndlovu out of their lodgings.
On the day in question, it is reported that Ndlovu got a tip-off that Ncube was on a beer binge with friends and had a a�?fata�� wallet.
In a bid to get money for soap, Ndlovu decided to confront him at the bar, but feared humiliation.A� Therefore, she decided to sit by the gate waiting for him.
At around 1 am when Ncube saw her on his way out he insulted her then teamed up with Nyelelani in beating her up.
A medical report was produced in court which confirmed that Ndlovu had sustained serious injuries. Her left side dislocated.
The magistrate slapped Ncube with nine months imprisonment of which three months were suspended on condition of good behaviour. .
