Humiliation awaits Mutasa, colleagues

WITH the majority of Zimbabweans being Christians, the gospel of the Living and Awesome Christ was preached with the message of Jesus’ crucifixion, death and resurrection being dominant. For some of us who have rendered our lives to His Eternal Grace, we were abundantly blessed.

Then with the message of Christ pervading the entire space, I could not resist but also follow the on-goings in the political arena where as usual political protagonist are ready to flex their muscle to outwit each other with elections being imminent.

Reading one daily which is usually fixated with despondency and outright lies, I could not hold not hold my laughter after perusing an interesting story about one increasingly desperate former Zanu-PF secretary for administration and Headlands legislator, Didymus Mutasa making outlandish claims that some fictitious figures hiding somewhere want to eliminate him.

This coming from someone who has been in politics for decades defies any sensible logic. What this myopic minded Mutasa fails to tell his audience is whether he has any support at all in Headlands. The answer is a complete No. Mutasa benefited from huge support which Zanu-PF has from the predominantly resettled farmers in that constituency.

Someone elsewhere had misled the now miserable and desperate Mutasa that he is bigger than the party. Lest he needs reminding, Zanu-PF has only one source and centre of power, President Robert Mugabe, Africa’s illustrious son and a beacon of hope for the poor and downtrodden of the globe.

Mutasa’s claims that he cannot contest the Headlands seat is the growing realisation on his part that he would not get a single vote in the Zanu-PF stronghold save his only. Except for the politically naïve of Mutasa’s ilk, Zimbabwe is a peaceful and serene nation where even a donkey for that matter can contest an election without being intimidated. Mutasa is politically insignificant to the point of being unnoticed from the time he was dismissed from the revolutionary party, Zanu-PF, together with his garrulous and now effectively MDC-T member, Temba Mliswa. Once you are dismissed from the party, Zanu-PF, you immediately sense the winds of rejection and discomfort which engulfs you.

So Mutasa’s hallucinations that someone wants to assassinate him basically emanates from that apparent realisation.

Imagine the comfort which the desperate Mutasa had derived from being a member of government’s top echelon, free accommodation, free fuel, free medication and a lot of other free entitlements which are connected to being a top civil servant. This is Mutasa’s source of anger and increasing hallucinations. A resident Nyanga political pundit insinuated that Mutasa’s angry outburst emanate from his apparent realisation that he has no one anymore to pour his famed anger.

The fake Nyati used to run Zanu-PF Manicaland and national party affairs as if it is his personnel fiefdom, just the loss of this clout naturally injects despair especially to a mental midget like Mutasa.

In fact, let him continue with his outburst and tantrums, a lot of closed cans on his not so rosy personnel life and political journey will burst into the public arena. Remember the Nyati clan disowned this disgraced politician and the Makoni community celebrated his exit from the national political corridors by firmly rejecting his attempts to be a Central Committee member of the revolutionary party.

Does anyone still remember Mutasa’s renowned shenanigans with the fairer sex, the womenfolk has numerous tales to narrate, the ordeals they underwent at the hands of this suspected sexual beast and predator. If I were you Mutasa, being quiet will serve you well, for your irrational outburst might trigger the multitudes of aggrieved people to aggressive complain.

The opposition has never been Mutasa for he constitutes an insignificant portion of the West’s onslaught on Zimbabwe.

The opposition politics in Zimbabwe is not internally conceptualised and driven, rather it is the West, principally Britain and the Americans who have found willing tools for them to implement their foreign policy whims. The British and their American acolytes will forever be sworn enemies to Zimbabwe for having asserted her sovereignty by reclaiming her lost land. This the crime which Zimbabwe is alleged to have committed. In the minds of the British and Americans, their kith and kin are a superior race who have the unassailable right to plunder and loot the black man’s resources unperturbed.

To them African resources are theirs for their populace’s consumption. In their warped thinking, the decision by the Zimbabwean authorities to reclaim what rightfully belongs to the people is a flawed undertaking. The factitious opposition which continues to fragment by each day especially the now ever multiplying MDC is in turmoil. The writing is on the wall, the pending elections in June will be a platform for the humiliation of these pseudo democrats.

The so called opposition is devoid of any strategy even to consolidate the gains which Zanu-PF has initiated and continues to inject momentum in the economic arena even in the face of heinous economic sanctions from the same people who founded and are funding the opposition, the British and the Americans. Someone might ask what they are opposing. They simply do not even have an idea on the thrust of opposition politics. They simply oppose for its sake.

If one might look at the British system of opposition, these are same people without any influence from elsewhere discussing issues concerning the welfare of their people and country. This can only be the right thing to do. In the Zimbabwean context, we have citizens of this country, such as Morgan Tsvangirai fronting British and American interests and then purporting to be representing the people’s interests.

Let me remind these Western stooges that the people’s interests is the land, it primarily sums up all that which they have and own. All natural resources beneath and on the surface of the land belong to Zimbabweans. Zanu-PF conceptualised and consolidated the land agenda from the days of the liberation to the current reality where the people own the resource. Zanu-PF has taken the agenda further by enacting legislation and implementing various schemes to tighten the grip on the ownership of the land. This is all that the people desire.

With that reality, one might ask what the opposition has in store. A reality check will unearth that they have nothing to offer apart from the now usual and familiar useless media antics of unrestrained mocking and insulting of the leadership.

This is the stupidity from the opposition which Zimbabweans do not need and deserve. Do people eat the unjustified mocking which they have constantly unleashed on the leadership through these anti people daily newspapers?

Other than the childish name calling, the opposition does not have anything for the populace.
