A HARARE man, who barred his wife from entering their bedroom, has lost his application for a peace order against her.

Magistrate Sharon Mashavira dismissed the application.

Peter Balakazi also accused his wife, Rejoice Balakazi, of verbally and physically abusing him.

“I don’t want this woman in my bedroom because she stole my money and I can’t ask her because she has a peace order,” he said.

He said he wanted the peace order so that Rejoice stops abusing his children from a previous relationship.

Rejoice said they were in the process of finalising their divorce and Peter has been physically abusing her.

She said he kicked her out of their matrimonial home, which forced her to seek a peace order against him.

“He is lying because I have never abused him.

“He made this application to fix me because I was granted a peace order against him.

“We stay in the same house but he is denying me access to our master bedroom and I sleep in the spare bedroom,” said Rejoice.
