TERRENCE Mhiripiri, coach of Zifa Central Soccer League outfit, Hwahwa, has left the club after the expiry of his contract at the end of last season.The former Flame Lily coach guided the correctional services side to eighth place in a tumultuous season in which he quit the club for two weeks after disagreements with club management over team selection and later returned.
Mhiripiri confirmed leaving the Gweru-based side and said he is on the verge of signing for Zifa Eastern Region outfit, Tenax.
“I’ve left Hwahwa and would like to thank the entire executive for the time I spent with the club. I’m heading to Mutare where my deal with Tenax is almost done which I believe is a challenge that can take my career to another level,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chrome Stars are hunting for a new coach after the expiry of Gatsi Mukombwe’s contract last season. The Kwekwe-based former Premiership side’s secretary general, Spicer Munjeri, said the club will look to its former players for Mukombwe’s replacement.
“We are currently looking for the CVs of our former players and once we find someone that we feel can steer the club in the direction we want, we’ll bring him on board,” he said.
