Hwange Colliery In Flying Start To Netball Campaign

HWANGE Colliery got to a flying start in their Glow Petroleum Netball Rainbow League campaign with convincing results in Hwange at the weekend.

Hwange beat visiting ZRP Bulawayo 64-14 in a match Caren Zulu starred to walk away with the golden hand award.

However the star of the match was Shawntel Maphosa, the miners’ wing attacker who showed a lot of enterprise, cracking open the opposition to set up the ever alert Zulu.

In their second match of the day, the Matabeleland North side showed no mercy to visiting Belvedere who seemed to melt in the seething Hwange heat as they were smacked 98-7 in a match Pamela Mhlanga top scored with 50 with

Sharlene Ncube walking away with the best player on view award.

Correctional Services star, Felistas Kwangwa who has played professional netball showed that class is permanent with a telling performance against Golden Valley. Her team won 75-29 and she walked away with the best player award while Pretty Moyo threw into the basket 72 points.
