A flashing header by Hwange central defender David Boriwondo was all the resurgent coalminers needed to shoot down a determined Chapungu in an evenly contested Castle Lager Premier League match played under simmering temperatures at the Colliery yesterday.

The hosts did not remove the feet from the pedal as hardly two minutes later, young Innocent Mucheneka turned William Ngonya on the edge of the box before unleashing a screamer which was bravely fisted away by Mazingi who had a busy afternoon.
