She’s idolised by fans and lusted after by many but Julianne Hough has revealed she still looks in the mirror and picks the way she looks apart.
“I still have not mastered feeling 100 percent confident in my body,” the 26-year-old says in an interview for Yahoo! Style.
“I still have days where I look in the mirror. . .But at the same time, it’s all in your head. If you love your body, then your body is going to love you back,” she said.
The dancer and singer who returned to “Dancing With The Stars” as a judge this season tells Yahoo! that her boyfriend, NHL player Brooks Laich, has to remind her not to be so judgemental about how she looks.
“My boyfriend tells me all the time, ‘Why is that whenever you take a picture and look at you, you want to take another one? Can’t you just be happy with the actual picture where we’re together?’ she said.
“So I’ve now had to coach myself to look at a picture and not say: ‘Do I look good in it?’ but ‘that’s a great picture, overall.’’
Julianne adopts some sultry poses for a photo shoot that runs alongside her interview and she’s not shy about showing off her body even if she’s not 100 percent okay with it.
In one series of shots, she wears a halter-neck white dress with a very plunging neckline that reveals some serious cleavage. She has her short blonde bob styled into a tousled windswept look as she stands with her mouth provocatively slightly open.
In another set of photos she shows off her lithe limbs as she sits on the floor in a floaty midnight-blue dress that’s pulled up around her thighs and in another shot she poses in a sleeveless top and teeny tiny shorts.
Julianne wraps her gig as a DWTS judge Tuesday night and she’ll shortly be going out on the second annual Move Live tour with her dance pro brother and DWTS co-star Derek Hough.
”Derek and I are getting heavily creative, it’s a lot of work. It’s a stressful thing because we’re trying to do it bigger and better than last year. And it was so good last year!” the pretty blonde said.
Asked if it ever gets uncomfortable dancing with her bother, Julianne acknowledges that there are some things they’ve decided not to do.
“If we were to do a Rumba, yeah that would be weird. We have done that before — it’s so weird. Everyone thought we were husband and wife at first. And then they found out we were brother and sister and they would scream: ‘That’s just wrong! Ewww!’, she confided.
“No more rumbas together. We can do a samba and fun stuff like that,” she added.
Also coming up, she’ll star in the Fox live presentation of the musical Grease.
Julianne plays Sandy, the role immortalised on film by Olivia Newton-John and she says she’s thrilled about the opportunity.
“What I love is live performance, whether it’s on tour or ‘Dancing With the Stars’. — dailymail.
