FREEMAN has revealed that if he hadn’t chosen music as a career, he would have been a professional footballer.

He feels King Shady and Jay C are the best players he has ever played with in the social football leagues.

The musician has been a regular feature in these matches and has also established his own team called Gallies FC.

He remains a member of ZIM Musicians FC, which is made up of the country’s artists.

Freeman, who also refers to himself as the Top Striker.

“I just play social football for the love of the game and it’s not like I’m playing with the intention to get people’s attention or to benefit anything out of this.

“Growing up, I was a soccer player and I knew I was going to make it but God redirected my path and here I am. He decides what is best for us.

“I’m still a ZIM Musicians player, I rarely miss a match and I’m still making contributions, if need be.”

He added: “What happened a long time ago is that some friends came with this Gallis FC idea and since they are not qualified to play for ZIM Musicians, I saw this initiative as a wise move.”

He said King Shady and Jay C top the list of the musicians who have a special football talent.

“There are many musicians who can play better football but I think Jay C and King Shady are the best,” he said.

“Jay C is more talented than the rest of us and I can’t also rule out King Shady, he is also good.
