I HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN MY HOMEBOYS, SAYS ROKI

URBAN Grooves artiste, Rockford “Roki” Josphat, says he hasn’t turned his back on local artistes when it comes to collaborations.

He has gone on a streak of collaborations with foreign artistes.

Roki appears to have won the hearts of some South African music stars.

He is currently working on a song with Indlovukazi, which is set for release before the end of next month.

The Chidzoka hitmaker is known for his unique style and blend of different genres, which has earned him a loyal fan base locally and internationally.

He told H-Metro that his aim was to expand his musical horizon and market his brand internationally.

He reassured his fans that he has not forgotten about collaborating with local artistes and was still open to working with them.

“I can’t actually remember the last time I did a collaboration with a fellow Zimbabwean artiste,” he said.

“Yes, I have a few collaborations with some locals, but I am focusing on the international market.

“We are working on three or two songs because she is a very talented vocalist and I am a talented writer and would like to think of myself as a singer.

“She is really good and I hope the song will be available before Christmas.”

After he made a comeback in 2021, with the song “Patati Patata” featuring Koffi Olomide, Roki has been trying to up his game.

Last year, he featured in DJ Maphorisa’s song “Ziyakhala”.

In April, he announced that he was working on a song together with DJ Tira.
