ICT Deputy Minister officiates World Robotics Olympiad (WRO)

DEPUTY Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services Dingumuzi Phuti will today officiate at the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO), which is being held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

The event is being hosted at Girls College by Girls in STEM Trust who was appointed national organiser of the first ever World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in Zimbabwe last year.
The organisation’s thrust is to inspire and empower young people in the fields of STEM and robotics through engaging challenges and competitions regardless of gender.

Girls in STEM Trust is an education non-profit, based in Bulawayo, that educates
and advocates for the uptake of STEM studies, careers and business enterprises among Zimbabwe’s youth, with a specific focus towards young women and girls.
