Iggy Azalea to face marriage claims

The “Fancy” hitmaker looked subdued as she arrived at the court in Downtown Los Angeles . Iggy Azalea has strongly denied that she’s ever been married before, and yesterday she headed to court to battle the marriage claims made by her ex Hefe Wine.

The “Fancy” rapper was left shocked when her ex, whose real name is Maurice Williams, filed court documents in Texas, where the state law states that a man and woman can be considered legally married if they live together and agree to become married.

Wine is claiming that the couple “agreed to get married” back in 2008 before Iggy hit the big time.

Iggy, 24, who is now dating LA Lakers star Nick Young, is ready to battle the claims and posted a lengthy rant on Twitter about the situation in October.

“I also was told yesterday via his lawyer if I do not settle out of court they will go to the press and say I gave him an STD, whats next?

“Unfortunately to file common law ‘divorce’ all you need is three of your friends to sign a statement swearing the persons story is true.”

The “Black Widow” hitmaker continued: “Actually proving it in court is another story I’m just waiting to get infront of a judge so it can be disproven & obtain a restraining order (sic)’

“Since this whole ‘common law divorce’ thing has gone public thankfully I’ve had so many women support me and come fwd with info.

“l have such a great collection of witnesses now and I’m really excited to get my day in court and see justice prevail (sic).”

The singer took to Twitter to wish her fans a Happy New Year, and took the opportunity to break shock news about her illness.

Iggy revealed she’s busy working on her new album, but added she’s suffering from stress-related Temporomandibular joint dysfunction.

“Also last month I was diagnosed with TMJ which isn’t the best,” she wrote.

“I’m gonna make more of an effort to take care of myself in 2015, stay away from all the drama & hopefully not have any flair ups.

“I don’t think western medicine all the way acknowledges what a huge toll mental stress takes on our bodies. But I do believe it is a factor.”

She added: “Anyhow I don’t think it will ever prevent me from doing anything I want to but it has made me realize it’s important to look after yourself.

“So that’s my little update and message! Look after your body and mind in the new year, be safe and enjoy it all! See u soon Las Vegas!!!” — Daily Mirror.
