Alliance for People’s Agenda (APA) presidential candidate Dr Nkosana Moyo has said he will fight nepotism which he alleged is rampant in Zimbabwean companies if voted.
Addressing a poorly attended interface meeting with the business community at Cathedral Hall in Gweru recently, Dr Moyo said a corrupt system of governance brought nepotism tendencies in the employment process in the country.
“I do not blame the young people who are roaming in the streets and indulging in all forms of illicit behaviour, it is because they have nowhere to go to work,” he said.
“We have killed the country as leaders and it is high time that you choose me to lead the country into a brighter future.
“People should be employed based on merit not the who you know approach that is currently rampant.”
Dr Moyo said if elected, his government will bring social justice through delivery of quality social services.
“The people’s welfare is always a priority for our alliance,” he said.
“We value the people and services that should be rendered to them. The previous administrations have all proved to be failures and I am here to encourage you to vote for new people into office, particularly myself because I have a clear vision of the development path that the country should now tow.
“You can make an effort to find my history if you are not convinced. I have a history of excellence and efficiency.”
Dr Moyo said his alliance will head hunt for new and qualified people for ministerial office.
