ILO boss meets President, visits Geo Pomona

The International Labour Organisation Director General Mr Gilbert Houngboon paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa at State House this (Tuesday) morning.

In an interview after the meeting, Mr Houngbo said Zimbabwe is ILO’s important partner.

“Since Sunday, there has been non-stop interactions,” he said.

“I really want to express my appreciation. I have witnessed a positive mood and positive predisposition,” he said.

Following his meeting with President Mnangagwa, the ILO Director General also visited the Geo Pomona waste management facility and expressed satisfaction with the progress made over the years.

His last visit to Zimbabwe was six years ago in a different capacity.
