A BUDIRIRO man, who disappeared from his home for SEVEN days, claims he is a ladies’ man with the charm which makes him irresistible to women.
Yesterday, Christopher Chike was hauled to court by his wife, Hazvinei Ngandu, who was seeking a protection order.
Hazvinei told the court her husband had the habit of sleeping at the homes of other women every time he got drunk.
“My heart bleeds when I sleep alone at night and other women are cuddled up with their husbands, when will this ever end?” she cried.
“Whenever he is drunk, he beats me up and insults me, hurting my feelings. I don’t know what I did wrong, he cheats on me but I never complain. Everyday he comes home at sunrise or disappears for seven days,” she said.
In response, Christopher said if the peace order was granted, it would make things easier for him.
“I don’t mind you giving her the peace order but she is the one who is the problem. She listens to the grapevine instead of me, her husband.
“I don’t cheat on her, it’s just I am a ladies’ man, women follow me around but I reject those temptations because I love her.”
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the peace order.
