THIS was Mai TT’s golden moment as she savoured her moment under the spotlight, in the company of Nollywood royalty, during the premiere of the movie ‘Lost in Ashes’ in Westgate, Harare, on Saturday.

Mike Ezuruonye, Mike Godson, Anita Joseph, Chinyere Winfred, Joy Patrick Ezedike, Iyke Odife, and Flossy Florento were all on the red carpet.

But the night belonged to Mai TT and she loved the spotlight.

With cameras flashing and fans screaming, she raised her hand and declared, “My glory and crown has been returned.”

Inside the cinema, it was goosebumps galore.

Mai TT’s performance in ‘Lost in Ashes’ had fans cheering, clapping, and even breaking into spontaneous dances.

The chemistry between her and the Nigerian stars was amazing.

And when the lights came back on, the star of the night bared her soul.

“I am happy my dream has been fulfilled. I am still in awe, thank you Zimbabwe, thank you Nigeria. We are making history with film. This is my story.

“I have been judged and ridiculed, but today I stand here because I refused to give up,” she told the crowd.

Senior Government officials, including the Deputy Minister of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Emily Jesaya, graced the occasion.

The Nollywood stars praised Mai TT for breaking barriers.

Mike Ezuruonye described her as “fearless.”

Despite the late start of the event, fans said the film was worth every minute.

“Yes, we waited longer than expected, but once the movie started, I forgot about the time.

“Mai TT gave us magic,” said Caroline Makusha, of Harare.

Another fan, Brighton Nkosi, added:

“The movie was brilliant and inspiring. My only hope is that next time our events should start on time, because the world is watching us now.”

For fans, the night was more than a movie premiere.

By the time the credits rolled, the verdict was clear: Mai TT didn’t just premiere a movie.

She reclaimed her crown, silenced her haters, and proved the Zimbabwean movie industry can also enjoy its moment under the spotlight.
