I’M INSPIRED BY MAGAYA, SAYS SIMBA BHORA BOSS

Bruce Chikuni, Sports Reporter

SIMBA Bhora owner, Simba ‘Buju’ Ndoro, has disclosed that he was is inspired to invest in domestic football by the commitment shown by Prophet Walter Magaya.

The Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries founder runs a PSL club, Yadah, and a women’s side that competes in Division One.

Magaya’s two clubs use the Heart Stadium, a project which was completed last year and approved by the First Instance Board this season.

Ndoro has also refurbished Wadzanai to afford his hometown of Shamva the privilege to witness Castle Lager Premiership action at their doorstep.

Magaya helped Ndoro to complete the construction of Wadzanai with some unspecified gifts.

The donation of all the tiles, which are at Wadzanai, is what was only confirmed to the public.

Four Simba Bhora employees were picked to represent the Warriors in their back-to-back World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho in Johannesburg on June 7 and South Africa in Bloemfontein four days.

The team’s skipper Walter Musona and forward Tymon Machope made the cut.

Physiotherapist Leon Gwara and goalkeepers coach, Zivanai Kawadza were also called up.

“Prophet Magaya has inspired me to invest more in football and advised me to expand my horizon.

“I have seen it that it is very possible to transform Simba Bhora into a local and continental beast just like Mamelodi Sundowns and TP Mazembe.

“These teams are doing well but they are owned by individuals. I have the freedom to make it happen and with the guidance of Prophet Magaya that dream will be reality soon,” said Ndoro.

Ndoro feels Magaya’s contributions to Zimbabwean football are not being recognised.

“People will appreciate him more if it was possible for him to reveal the amount of money he has invested on Yadah Stars and the Heart Stadium.

“I do envy his success in football because his team has maintained its PSL status since 2017 and it’s not easy if you ask me.

“I just hope that he continues finding every reason to go on for me and other club owners to stay motivated and inspired,” he said.
