COMEDIAN Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima insists he still has the mojo despite keeping a low profile
The 46-year-old, who is equally good as a musician, is currently in the studio working on three singles – Manyangira Dahwa, Amai Vanokosha, and Handivimbe Naye.
“I have done three songs that will have accompanying videos. “I am shooting these videos at a farm where I grew up at called Amara Mashingaidze Farm.
“I used Makumbe Music Production and engaged Obert Gomba on drums.
“It cost me over US$1000 to record the audios and US$700 for each video,” he said.
In his quest to remain relevant, Kapfupi has vowed to continue doing drama series which brought him to prominence.
“After releasing the three songs, I am also dropping a 25-minute drama titled MaGuard MaNyama, which I did alongside Mabla-10.
“It’s a way of reminding our fans of the experience, which made us stars.”
Kapfupi’s video filming director, Anyway Mukumanhewa, described Kapfupi as an extraordinary artist. “Kapfupi is a talented artist who knows how to interpret scripts.
“His art flows smoothly.”
Kapfupi, the father of six, started working with Makumanhewa during the COVID-19-induced lockdown.
