I’m not after Mbare seat, says Kunaka

Zanu-PF Politburo member Cde Tendai Savanhu in the party primary elections. In an interview, Cde Kunaka refuted the reports.
“There have been false reports in the media trying to push an agenda to divide the electorate in Mbare and the whole country. They said I have plans of taking over from Cde Savanhu which is not true,” he said.

“Cde Savanhu has worked very hard for the constituency especially when it comes to empowering poor people. I have no intentions to contest as an MP in Mbare. We advise the electorate not to be bothered by such articles.”

He said he was seeking advice from his lawyers on the articles. Cde Kunaka also revealed that he would contest to be a councillor.
“We are not fighting with Cde Savanhu and in the next elections I want to be elected as a councillor for Ward 11 where I come from. I enjoy working with the people to strengthen the party.”
