I’m not worried by boos: DeMbare coach

Blessing Malinganiza

TONDERAI Ndiraya says the rants from fans is part of the game and has pleaded with them for their support.

Dynamos fans sang ‘Paumire Pakaoma,’ which appeared directed at Ndiraya, after their goalless draw against Triangle United.

“It’s part of the game, if you look at where we are coming from I think we just have to be happy that our team has progressed this far,” the coach said.

“It has progressed and I’m happy about it.

“Of course, when the team is expected to win and it doesn’t turn out that way, the fans are expected to react that way.

“But, what is important is where we are and where we want to go.

“We just have to keep the focus and keep putting in the shift and work and get things right in our next games.”

He added:

I think we have come a long way and I understand the reaction of the fans because of where we have been and coming from.

“We have been in the lower half of the table for years and when the hopes are there that we can win something, especially this weekend, and we fail, you expect such a reaction from the fans.

“But, what I’m happy about is the way the players reacted amid that pressure from the fans.

“They kept on pushing and if we can continue putting that fight in the next games to come, I’m sure we will come good.

“I think we now have a new team that is performing well and at the same time trying to adjust to the demands of the institution.

“So, naturally, it’s so demanding for the players.

“That’s why I appeal to all stakeholders’ support to our players because some of them are not used to such kinds of environments and they understand that they have to adjust quickly to the pressure and demands of such a big institution like Dynamos.

“We have to keep fighting and competing at the top.

“So, the fans’ reaction is expected because they have been starved of success for a long time and it is important for us to remain united and focused and I’m positive the results will come.”
