MAI TT has described herself as the FOUNDER of the social media content creation industry in Zimbabwe.

The industry took a significant step forward over the weekend as Mai TT hosted a vibrant networking event dubbed ‘The Industry Connect’ at Dema Camp.

The gathering brought together a diverse group of digital creatives, influencers and entertainers, all under one roof.

They were all united by a shared goal to connect, collaborate and grow the local content creation space.

Among those who showed appreciation for the initiative were content creators Tobias Wepagutu, Lord Matthews, Bhururu-Dee and Hope Lil One, who praised Mai TT for creating a platform that fosters unity in an often fragmented industry.

The event, described by many as both refreshing and inspiring, created an environment where creators could engage, exchange ideas and build meaningful partnerships.

Mai TT, who has built a strong presence in Zimbabwe’s digital entertainment scene, reiterated her vision of expanding the initiative beyond Harare.

“So grateful for a successful event today where creators met to network. It was so beautiful to see. My vision came to pass and this is the beginning of greater success and growth for us as the industry.

“As the founder of the Industry, it’s my wish to see us collaborate and learn from each other not only in the capital city but in every city where there are creatives.

“Our next stop is Bulawayo.”

The success of The Industry Connect signals a promising future for Zimbabwe’s content creators, as collaboration and community-building take centre stage in shaping the industry’s growth.

“Your presence, your energy, and your willingness to connect made it truly special,” she said.

“Seeing so many talented, passionate creatives in one space reminded me why community matters so much.”

She added that the event marks just the beginning of a bigger vision.

“This is only the beginning… bigger things are ahead of us. More collaborations, more partnerships, more growth, and more wins together,” she said.

Tobias Wepagutu commended the initiative, highlighting the importance of unity in the creative sector.

“What Mai TT has done is powerful. We often work in silos, but this event reminded us that we can achieve more when we come together,” he said.

Lord Matthews echoed similar sentiments.

“This was more than just a meet-up. It was a chance to build relationships that can elevate our work and open doors for bigger opportunities,” he said.

Bhururu-Dee described the event as a much-needed platform for upcoming and established creators alike.

“We need more spaces like this where creatives can interact freely, learn from each other and grow together. It’s a game-changer,” he said.

Hope Lil One said:

“It was beautiful to see creatives supporting each other. The vibe was genuine and it gave us hope for the future of the industry,” she said.
