I’M VERY SORRY, SAYS TINO

H-Metro Reporter

TINO Kadewere says emotions got the better of him and has apologised to reporter Yvonne Mangunda after an ugly incident at the Warriors training ground in Johannesburg earlier on Monday.

Kadewere charged at Mangunda in a fit of rage and had to be restrained by his teammates and officials.

“I’m sorry, the emotions got the better of me and how l reacted was not right,” he said in his first public comments after the incident.

“We are also humans and we feel the pain and also make mistakes but l know l should have done better than what happened and l told her l was very sorry.

“I don’t usually worry about being criticised for what l do on the field for the national team but there are moments when l feel the criticism has become very personal.

“Still, l know l shouldn’t have reacted the way l did and l apologised to her and to my teammates and coach.”
