Dube also produced a knife and stabbed Matewuro once in the stomach.

The two suspects fled the scene. The matter was reported to the police who attended to the scene. Matewuro was ferried to Gokwe District Hospital where he was further transferred to Gweru Provincial Hospital.

“Matewuro died while on his way to Gweru Hospital and his body was taken to Kwekwe District Hospital mortuary. The suspects were arrested and are assisting police with their investigations,” he said.
