FOR the second time in three months, Impact Agencies Mining Suppliers will on 6 and 7 November bankroll another Zimbabwe Football Association Southern Region Five-A-Side eight-team tournament to be played at Grassroots Soccer Football for Hope Centre in Bulawayoa��s high density suburb of Gwabalanda.
In August, Impact Agencies Mining Suppliers sponsored a two-day Southern Region Five-A-side Heroes Cup tournament that was eventually won by Flying Stars after they beat Nust 5-3 in the final match to take home the $100 prize money.
Nust went away with $70 while the Shylock Ndlovu-inspired Bulawayo artistes got $50 for winning the third place play-off after beating Fox 8-6.
a�?We are glad that Impact Agencies Mining Suppliers have continued to show confidence in our league. The company director Nhlanhla Sibanda has revealed to us that they will sponsor another league tournament in November. They will bankroll the second contest to the tune of $600. In the initial contest, they poured in $300,a�? said Southern Region Five-A-Side chairman Philani Banda.
Sibanda said it was their wish to see the growth and development of Five-A-Side in the Southern Region.
a�?Ita��s our wish to see the growth and development of Five-A-Side and as such we decided to sponsor the leaguea��s second tournament set for November. We have thrown in some increased monetary incentives for the participating teams and we hope the marriage that we have established with Southern Region Five-A-Side League will last forever,a�? said Sibanda.
Clubs to feature in the second tournament are Flying Stars, Cash Money, Street Set, Nust, Fox, Amabhubesi, Bulawayo Artists and Black Stars. .
