PREPARATIONS for the inaugural Ladies Summer Splash are in full swing, with hundreds of women from Mutare and beyond expected to attend the high-profile event on September 28, at the Vumba Gateway Gardens.
The brainchild of The Manica Post and Diamond FM, the event will run under the vibrant theme: “Bloom, Bond and Boogie”.
According to the organisers, the event aims to bring together women from all walks of life for a fun-filled and empowering day.
Invited experts will lead interactive discussions on various topics, including self-care and mental wellness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, health and wellness tips, relationship building, confidence development, and creative expression through poetry, dance, and fashion.
To celebrate summer, femininity, and nature’s beauty, attendees are encouraged to don a floral dress code.
“The Ladies Summer Splash is upon us, and we are excited to be hosting the inaugural one. We want to create a safe and vibrant space where women can come together to celebrate themselves, connect with others and unwind in a meaningful way.
“We understand how overwhelming daily life can get, especially with the responsibilities women juggle with at home, at work and in society. That is why we curated a programme that offers a perfect mix of relaxation, inspiration, and empowerment.
“From panel discussions on mental health and entrepreneurship to dancing under the sun with your girlfriends, we want this day to be unforgettable.
“The floral theme is symbolic with growth, beauty, and blooming into the best version of oneself. We are also excited about the entertainment lineup and the surprise artiste, who is guaranteed to get everyone on their feet. It is going to be a day of colour, laughter, music and sisterhood. We encourage every woman to join us and make this first edition truly spectacular,” said the organisers in a statement.
Adding to the excitement, the event will feature a surprise guest artiste, and a stellar lineup of DJs spinning Afrobeat, House, Dancehall and Old School tunes throughout the day.
Transport will be available from The Manica Post Building to and from the venue. Tickets are going for US$5 per attendee.
The event is coming after The Manica Post and Diamond FM hosted other successful events such as the Health and Wellness Gala, the Men’s Forum, Artificial Intelligence Conference and Symposium and Careers Expo for schools this year.
