THE inaugural Worship Saved My Life concert is set to come alive on Saturday in Bulawayo, as a host of local gospel acts take to the stage.

The concert, which will be held at a local church in Bulawayo’s central business district, will feature performances from Vuyo Brown, Dorothy Chipo, Mimmie Tarukwana, Mai Mwamuka and Psalms Revealed.

Speaking ahead of the event, organiser, worship leader Methembe Meya said the concert is more than just a musical showcase, describing it as the launch of a movement and a lifestyle of worship aimed at transforming lives.
“This platform is about sharing powerful testimonies, how the Lord has changed lives, including my own, and how worship can be a catalyst for healing, hope and transformation in our community,” said Meya.

He said the line-up was inspired by the strong personal and ministerial relationships he has built with the participating artistes over the years.
“I’ve served with Vuyo Brown in worship sessions and community music projects, witnessed the powerful leading of Psalms Revealed, experienced Dorothy Chipo’s Hour of Power, Mai Mwamuka’s Worship Well, and seen Mimmie Tarukwana of Harvest House Church take congregations into deep worship through her anointed ministry. We all share the same heart, to bring a life-changing worship experience to the people,” he said.

Meya added that attendees can expect a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere characterised by prayer, reflection and a short inspirational message.
“This concert also creates space for people to connect with community groups, volunteer teams and youth-focused resources. Throughout the year, we have hosted monthly Worship Saved gatherings, online worship streams and community prayer nights.

“All those meetings have built towards this flagship Worship Saved My Life concert, bringing together the artistes and the community we have been worshipping with all year,” said Meya. – Follow on X: @mthabisi_mthire
