India invites Zim buyers to textiles fair

fair and conference on textile and apparel that will be held from November 22- 25 in Jaipur, India.
The event is being supported by India’s Ministry of Textiles.
An official from the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce said they had received an invitation letter from FICCI to participate at the event.
“The chamber has been invited to participate at VASTRA 2012 which will showcase the best and latest in textiles from fibre to fashion, covering the entire value chain.
“Similar invitations have also been sent to business chambers in the region. Typically, VASTRA invites domestic and international buyers from at least 106 countries,” he said.
About 500 exhibitors from India are expected to showcase their products along with country pavilions from other countries.
The showcase is expected to cover a wide range of high fashion for women, men and kids (casual and formal) including home textiles and home furnishings, textile-based handicrafts, fashion jewellery and accessories, jute specialties, packaging materials, floor covering, traditional textiles, textile technology and machinery.
In the invitation letter, RICCO and FICCI indicate that all invited buyers will be hosted by the organisers and will be provided return air fares and accommodation during the course of the event.
